OUTDOOR PLAY WEEK 2013
Sat March 16th to Sat March 23rd 2013
Seven days of fun activities and events celebrating outdoor play Organised by the Play Service with Active for Life. Come and enjoy a free programme of playful, active events and a week of lively after school sessions with The Playbus team.

· Five outdoor Play sessions with The Play Bus
· Sports and Games
· Creative outdoor Play activities
· Special guests at the Saturday Play events
· Information on running your own Street Play event
Brighton & Hove Outdoor Play Week
Please be aware that some of the activities on offer throughout the week will be outdoors and a bit messy! Please wear appropriate clothes!! All children under 8 years old should be accompanied by a responsible adult.
Saturday 16th March
Outdoor Play Event at Hove Park
11:00 am to 3:00 pm
With The Play Bus, Active for Life, and Adventure Unlimited : Come along for a day of den building, fun & games with The Play Bus team, Sports taster sessions and The Climbing Tower
Monday 18th March
Outdoor Play Session with The Play Bus
Whitehawk Way ( next to the playground )
3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Activities throughout the week will include art projects with natural materials, den building, free play, messy play, games and more!!
Tuesday 19th March
Outdoor Play Session with The Play Bus
Farm Green, Bevendean ( next to the Primary School )
3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Wednesday 20th March
Outdoor Play Session with The Play Bus
East Hill Park, Portslade
3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
Thursday 21st March
Outdoor Play Session with The Play Bus
Hangleton Park, Harmsworth Crescent

Outdoor Play Session with The Play Bus & Volunteers from Friends of William Clark Park at William Clark Park ( The Patch ) Picton Street

Saturday March 23rd
Outdoor Play Event in Preston Park
11:00 am to 3:00 pm
With The Play Bus, Active for Life, Adventure Unlimited Climbing Tower, Seagulls Special, Kidsrome Mobile Farm, Marquee with activities and information, Chill Out tent, music and games. Launch of a Disability Health Walk for children and their families will be starting at 10:30 am from the Marquee, come and enjoy a stroll around the park before the Play Event.
We welcome all children and families to these events, including those with disabilities and special educational needs. Our Outdoor Play Event in Preston Park on Saturday 23 March will have a particular focus on inclusive play. We’re working closely with parents of disabled children and local services to make this a fun event that can be enjoyed by as many children as possible, whatever their individual needs may be.
